WELCOME 
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and the services offered on it by Burton M. Fischler ("I," "me," "my"), operating as a private practice in Oceanside, New York. By using this site or booking a session, you agree to these Terms.

WHAT MY SERVICES ARE — AND ARE NOT:
I offer coaching and "Expert Companion" sessions focused on trauma recovery, grief, addiction recovery support, healthy self-love and personal growth. I hold a Master's degree in psychology, and have received advanced training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I am a practitioner, healer, self-healer, and a Certified Life Coach, drawing upon years of academic, professional, and lived experiences. My services are not psychotherapy, medical care, or psychiatric treatment, and they do not create a doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship. I do not diagnose, treat, or cure any mental health condition, and my sessions are not a substitute for care from a licensed physician, psychologist, or psychotherapist. If you are working with a mental health professional, my sessions can complement — never replace — that care. If you are in crisis, thinking about harming yourself or others, or experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, do not use this site to seek help. SESSIONS, BOOKINGS, AND PAYMENT
Sessions take place on Zoom at the designated time you schedule on this site. Prices are shown at booking (currently $200 USD for a 50-minute standard session) and may change; the price you book at is the price you pay. Interested in booking more than one session? Contact me at burtonfischler@gmail.com for bundle prices. Rescheduling, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the Refund Policy on this site.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
Coaching works through your own choices and actions. You are responsible for your decisions, your wellbeing, and how you apply anything we discuss. You agree to participate honestly and to seek additional professional care and/or medical attention, as and when needed.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Everything on this site — text, images, guides, and the contents of The Gift: Trauma to Triumph — belongs to Burton Fischler unless otherwise noted. You may download the free guides for personal use. Please don't republish or resell any of it without written permission.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or my services. My total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.

MEMBERSHIP ACCOUNTS
If you create an account on this site (for example, to manage bookings), you are responsible for keeping your login secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS
This site links to third-party services (for example, Amazon for the book and Zoom for sessions). I am not responsible for their content or practices; their own terms apply.

GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Nassau County, New York.
